Terms of Use

How using Pax works.

Last updated 17 May 2026

Pax Social (Private) Limited, a company registered in Pakistan ("Pax", "we"), connects people who want to be in a room with people who host them. This page explains the basics. By using the site you agree to these terms.

What Pax is

Pax is a platform for discovering and reserving spots at small, host-run events. The hosts are independent — Pax doesn't organise the events, doesn't set the prices, and isn't present at them. Hosts are responsible for the venue, the activity, and what happens on the night.

Reservations

  • A reservation is a commitment to show up, not a legal ticket. Be kind to the host and cancel if you can't make it — they held a seat for you.
  • Payment is made directly to the host by bank transfer, using the details in the event listing — you show your payment confirmation at the door. Pax doesn't take payment, doesn't hold money, and doesn't process refunds.
  • You can cancel any time via the link in your confirmation email. Cancellations are free and welcome — better an empty seat known in advance than one held in vain.
  • If a host cancels an event, we'll email you. No charge has been taken, so nothing needs to be returned.

For attendees

You agree to attend the event you've reserved, treat the host and other guests with respect, and follow any rules the host sets for their space (e.g. no shoes, quiet hours, dietary disclosures).

You attend at your own risk. Pax doesn't guarantee the quality of any individual event, the suitability of any space, or the actions of any host or guest.

For hosts

By publishing an event on Pax, you also agree to our Vendor Guidelines, which set out operational standards (location verification, cancellations, member data handling, commission, and more) in more detail. The short version follows:

  • Run the event you've described. If you need to cancel, cancel through the dashboard — your attendees will be emailed automatically.
  • Be reachable. Attendees get your name and Pax-relayed email; you should respond about the address and any logistics within a reasonable time.
  • Charge what you've advertised. If the price changes for a future occurrence, update the event before opening new reservations.
  • Hold your space safely and legally. You're responsible for insurance, permits, and any compliance specific to your activity.
  • Treat attendee data carefully. Don't add Pax attendees to external mailing lists without their separate consent.

Pax can suspend a host's account if these terms are breached or if multiple attendees report a serious issue. We'll always email you about it first if circumstances allow.

Founding Vendor Program

The Founding Vendor Program offers approved Lahore hosts 0% commission until our public launch, then 5% locked for life thereafter. We'll communicate any commission changes in writing well in advance. Founding Vendor status applies to the host account, not transferable to other accounts.

Content you submit

Anything you post — event descriptions, photos, attendee notes — stays yours. By submitting it to Pax, you give us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site for the purpose of running the platform. You can remove your content at any time by editing the event or asking us to delete your account.

Things Pax doesn't promise

Pax is provided as-is. We try hard to keep the site running and the data accurate, but we can't guarantee uptime, error-free emails, or that an event will be exactly as described. Use your judgment.

To the extent allowed by law, Pax is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

Ending things

You can stop using Pax at any time — delete your reservation, leave the waitlist, or ask us to remove your host account. We may close accounts that breach these terms, or stop offering the service in a particular city; if that happens we'll do our best to give notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If you're using Pax from another country, your local consumer-protection laws may still apply.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. For anything material we'll email registered users so you know what changed.
